Forwarding Transcripts
There are several different places you can refer questions to. If you would like to refer the question to the DPL email reference team use the email address: dplref@denverlibrary.org
To forward questions to Western History/Genealogy use the address: genhist@denverlibrary.org
There are several referral libraries that are part of AskColorado. Take a look a the information about referring questions that is posted on the AskColorado Project website. http://www.aclin.org/reference/work/referrals.html
The list of referral libraries is also available on the Infosheet tab when you are in a session.
***If you are going to forward a question to any referral service, it is very important to get the customer's email address into the body of chat transcript***
I usually do something like - "I need to verify your email address."
There are several ways to get the text of the transcripts.
1. Copy all of the text before you exit your session, and paste that text into an email message.
2. Use the Previous Sessions area. Copy all of the text, and paste that into an email message. Before opening up a previous session, be sure and mark yourself as "unavailable". If you get a question pushed to you while reviewing a previous session, your software will freeze.
3. Get the emailed transcript that was sent to your email, and forward it, or copy and paste the parts you want to forward.
